1. What is MBE WINE?

MBE WINE is a specialised service for the international shipping of bottled wine.

It is designed for wineries, gourmet shops, wine retailers and private customers. We do not sell wine: we handle its professional, legal and secure transport.

2. How it works

  1. Select the winery from which the shipment will depart.
  2. Enter the recipient’s full details: country, city, postcode, telephone number and email address.
  3. Specify the number of bottles to be shipped, respecting the legal limits of the destination country.
  4. MBE WINE manages the specialised packaging, customs documentation and transport.
  5. Make the payment securely and receive shipment tracking by email.

3. Destinations, delivery times and delivery conditions

We ship to Europe and the United States, complying with the applicable regulations in each destination. Each country may require specific conditions, which MBE WINE manages in order to avoid incidents or delays.

  • Europe: estimated delivery within 3 to 5 working days.
  • United States: estimated delivery within 15 working days from the departure of the goods from our warehouse, excluding customs delays and peak activity periods.
  • United States: our import licence covers delivery in all states.
  • Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico: a surcharge of €50 per box applies.
  • United Kingdom: shipments are governed by the specific conditions set out in section 8.
  • DDP delivery: Delivered Duty Paid, applicable unless the specific conditions of the destination indicate another tax or customs regime.

5. General conditions

  • Only closed, labelled bottles in good condition are accepted.
  • The wine shipped must be for personal use or consumption.
  • The recipient must be of legal age according to the regulations of their country of residence or destination.
  • Legal restrictions are communicated before completing the order.
  • For private individuals, the service does not establish its own limit, provided that the legal limits of the receiving country are respected.
  • The customer is responsible for providing complete and correct recipient details.
  • MBE WINE is not responsible for delays caused by external factors, such as customs inspections, public holidays, force majeure or incomplete documentation.
  • No claims will be accepted after 7 days from delivery if no incident has been reported.

6. Incidents, cancellations, returns and refunds

6.1 Loss or breakage

Refundable cases are loss and breakage. In the event of total or partial loss or breakage of the shipment, the following amount will be refunded per affected bottle:

6.2 Order cancellation

Once the shipment has been confirmed and collected, it cannot be cancelled, as the logistics preparation, documentation and specialised packaging process begins.

In the event of an exceptional incident, contact MBE WINE immediately. Cancellation will only be assessed if the order has not yet been processed, and an administrative management fee may apply.

6.3 Address correction

Address correction has a cost of €45.

6.4 Deliveries and returns in the United States

  • Up to 2 delivery attempts will be made.
  • If delivery cannot be completed, the goods will be returned to one of our warehouses in the United States.
  • The return of the goods to Spain is not planned.
  • Return costs: €50 per box.
  • New shipment costs: €50 per box.
  • Storage is free for 7 days. After that, €5 per day will be charged as a storage fee.

7. Buyer safety and protection

MBE WINE prioritises safety, legality and traceability in all shipments through approved packaging, transport insurance, customs documentation management, personalised support and email tracking from the moment the shipment leaves.

8. Terms and conditions for wine shipments to the United Kingdom UK

8.1 Scope of application

These conditions apply exclusively to wine shipments from Spain to the United Kingdom contracted through the online platform https://pay.mbesws.es/es/. By using the service, the sender accepts these terms and conditions.

8.2 Shipping conditions

  • Quantity limits: for tax and customs purposes, the shipment must comply with the limits established for the import of alcohol into the United Kingdom. It is recommended not to exceed 48 bottles per shipment when dealing with sales to private individuals.
  • Packaging: wine must be shipped in approved packaging for glass bottles, resistant to impacts and leak-proof. MBE will take care of the appropriate packaging.
  • Transport: MBE works with authorised freight forwarders and logistics operators specialising in the international transport of alcoholic beverages.

8.3 Customs and taxation in the UK

All shipments are subject to import clearance in the United Kingdom. The recipient may be required to pay:

  • Customs duties, where applicable.
  • UK import VAT, currently 20%.
  • Excise Duty applicable to wine, depending on alcohol content and volume.

As a general rule, the recipient of the shipment in the UK will be responsible for paying import taxes. Delivery times may be affected by customs clearance. MBE is not responsible for delays caused by customs checks or incomplete documentation.

8.4 Restrictions and limitations

  • Shipments addressed to minors in the UK are not accepted.
  • It is not permitted to send wine with incomplete labels, without mandatory information or without a batch number.
  • Shipments to Northern Ireland are not made from this platform.
  • For shipments to the Channel Islands, MBE must be consulted in advance.

8.5 Insurance and liability

  • All shipments include basic insurance for loss or damage in accordance with international transport regulations.
  • MBE is not responsible for holds, returns or fees applied by British authorities.

8.6 Cancellations and returns

  • Cancellations are not accepted once the shipment has been collected.
  • Returns from the United Kingdom to Spain must be managed as new shipments, subject to additional costs and new customs procedures.

8.7 Data protection

  • The sender accepts the processing of their data for logistics and customs purposes, in accordance with Regulation EU 2016/679, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.
  • The recipient’s data may be communicated to logistics operators in the United Kingdom in order to complete customs clearance and import procedures.
